Day Two of the internship orientation at CFID focused on viral hepatitis, equipping Public Health students from Taraba State University, Muwanshat College of Health Science and Technology, and the Taraba State Polytechnic Jalingo with practical knowledge on prevention, testing, linkage to care, and community engagement strategies.
Facilitated by Prince Danjuma K. Adda, the training emphasized the importance of early detection, public awareness, vaccination, elimination of stigma, and integrated approaches to hepatitis control.
The students gained hands-on understanding of how public health programs move beyond theory into action—supporting individuals, families, and communities through education, advocacy, screening, and referral services.
Following this training, the students will be guided through advocacy and sensitization activities, allowing them to apply their learning in real community settings and contribute meaningfully to disease prevention efforts.
