The Centre for Initiative and Development (CFID), Taraba State, is deeply honored to announce its official acceptance to join the World Health Organization (WHO) Civil Society Task Force on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
This prestigious recognition highlights CFID’s long-standing commitment and experience in advancing community-centered health solutions across Nigeria and beyond. It also marks a significant milestone in our mission to strengthen public health systems and advocate for communities most affected by global health challenges.
Strengthening Civil Society Voices in the Fight Against AMR
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses one of the most serious threats to global health, food security, and sustainable development. The WHO Civil Society Task Force on AMR serves as a platform for civil society organizations to engage meaningfully in shaping policies, programs, and awareness strategies that address this growing challenge.
As a new member, CFID Taraba will contribute its expertise and grassroots experience to promote inclusive, evidence-based, and community-driven solutions that reduce the impact of AMR in Africa and worldwide. This role aligns with our continued commitment to supporting Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of quality health care.
A Shared Global Mission
We sincerely thank the World Health Organization (WHO) for this opportunity to collaborate, learn, and amplify the voices of affected communities.
With passion, expertise, and a proven record of grassroots impact, CFID Taraba stands ready to help shape a healthier, safer future for all.
Together, we can foster meaningful change and extend this mission to wider society.
