Overview
CFID recognizes the growing burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and the critical need for mental health support. To address this, we offer comprehensive programs tailored to women, caregivers, and families often excluded from traditional health systems. Our initiatives include:
Chronic Disease Management
- Free Blood Sugar Testing: Integrated with HIV/HBV testing, these tests are provided to women to detect and manage diabetes effectively.
- Free Blood Pressure Monitoring: Available at our head office and all outreach locations, this service helps identify and address hypertension and other cardiovascular challenges for all populations.
Mental Health Support
- Safe Space for GBV Survivors: Located at our head office, this space supports survivors of gender-based violence—particularly women and adolescents—with referrals to health therapy and legal support.
- Virtual Psychosocial Services: Delivered by trained counselors through our mobile app, CFID Cares (available on Google Store), these services provide accessible mental health support.
These programs are designed to meet the unique needs of our target populations, combining chronic disease management with mental health care to ensure holistic and inclusive support.
